Data Recurring

Data Recurring is designed to automate the allocation of data packages or bundles to subscribers on a recurring basis—such as daily, weekly, or monthly without requiring manual input. This functionality is particularly useful for ISPs and network operators offering prepaid or postpaid plans that are scheduled to renew periodically.

Condition for Data Recurring

  • Data Recurring only applies if the attached package includes a data limitation (e.g., a 10GB monthly cap).
  • If the package has no data limit, the system treats it as time-recurring, based solely on duration, not data usage.

Data Recurring Options

There are two primary methods for implementing data recurring:

Credit-Based

In Credit-Based recurring, data is allocated based on the available credit balance of the subscriber.

How it works:

  • The system checks if the subscriber has sufficient credit before each scheduled data allocation.
  • If the balance is adequate, the data package is applied.
  • If the balance is insufficient, the system will not allocate the data for that period.
  • Credit deductions happen automatically, and recurring data resumes only when credit is restored.

Use Case Scenario

A user is subscribed to a weekly 5GB plan. Every 7 days, the system checks if they have enough credit (e.g., $5). If yes, 5GB is allocated and $5 is deducted. If not, no data is assigned until payment is made.

One-Off

In One-Off recurring, data is assigned to the subscriber automatically, without checking for available credit at each interval.

How it works:

  • The data allocation is guaranteed at the defined recurrence interval.
  • The system does not rely on a credit check.
  • Best suited for postpaid plans or pre-authorized users.

Use Case Example:

A postpaid user receives 100GB of data every month as part of a corporate plan. Regardless of credit status, the system automatically assigns the data each month on a fixed schedule.
